SANA Medical Center provides professional continuous monitoring of glucose in interstitial fluid, with 288 measurements per day, using the iPro™2 system. This type of measurement provides a complete picture of glucose levels and their fluctuations over the day, enabling precise decisions about diabetes therapy. How is continuous glucose monitoring performed? The iPro2 glucose-monitor sensor is inserted painlessly under the skin.
While using iPro2, the patient lives a normal daily life and keeps a self-monitoring diary recording meal times, physical activity, stressful situations, and medications. The system takes only a few minutes to install and does not require anesthesia. The device is compact and waterproof and causes no discomfort, allowing the patient to maintain their usual lifestyle. Diagnostics are performed over three days.
