Urology

A branch of medicine that studies the course, causes, treatment, and prevention of diseases of the urinary system. Diseases in this group fall within the competence of a urologist. Urology is most closely related to surgery, gynecology, nephrology, and venereology. Andrology is a separate area of urology that studies and treats diseases of the male genitourinary system.
